Overview of the Journal

The Journal of Investment and Sustainable Food Security is a peer-reviewed, open-access publication committed to advancing knowledge and practice in the areas of agricultural investment and food security. It provides a platform for researchers, development practitioners, policymakers, and investors to share innovative research and solutions that support sustainable agriculture and resilient food systems, particularly in the Arab world. The journal covers topics including investment strategies in agriculture, sustainable farming technologies, food value chains, climate-smart practices, and policies that promote food security and rural development. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and publishing evidence-based insights, the journal aims to contribute to the development of inclusive, efficient, and sustainable agri-food systems.

The journal is published twice a year, and in addition to the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), its publication is jointly supported by the University of Baghdad, the United Arab Emirates University, and the Agricultural Research and Higher Education Institution – Tunisia.

The journal primarily focuses on advancing applied scientific knowledge by publishing research and studies in the fields of agricultural and food investment, aiming to achieve leadership at the Arab world level in the area of sustainable food security.

  • Encourage researchers to focus their studies on modern methods in agricultural and food investment and financing.

  • Promote research that addresses environmental issues, especially those related to sustainable agriculture and the environment.

  • Improve the quality of agricultural products based on the findings of research accepted for publication in the journal.

  • Promote the use of advanced modern technologies and methods in agriculture and the food industry through published research.

  • Encourage researchers to focus on modern technologies in agricultural product manufacturing, contributing to sustainable economic integration.
